In the first six months of Canada Express Entry Scheme the Canadian Government has now produced some worthwhile facts we can now share with you. We hope you find the following data both encouraging and informative. Fist we looked at the number of people who applied across the globe.

Not eligible - 48,000
Awaiting Selection - 4,300
Withdrawn - 6,400

These numbers are encouraging as it shows a real step forward with over 12,000 people already invited to live and work in Canada. This is exciting news and a great start for Express Entry.

United States of America: 2311.8%
United Kingdom: 1110.9%
United Arab Emirates: 570.4%
Again these numbers are showing where the highest number of people who want to live in Canada are from. There are no surprises there as it follows a similar pattern set out over recent years. We were delighted to see so many people from the UAE being picked already and we are now looking for more people to be picked up soon.
Country of Citizenship of Invited Candidates as of July 6, 2015
country number percentage
United Kingdom: 9517.4%
United States of America: 5214.0%
South Korea: 3272.5%
We stated in our report back to the Canadian Government on this fresh data "These numbers are impressive and help people understand the volumes of candidates involved in applying for Canada Express Entry." We went on to say
"Even though we appreciate the scale of the job ahead of the Immigration Authorities is huge and some great work so far we would like to see more done in how candidates and employers are connected. Right now we are having to a great deal of work to present our clients to employers who would never have found them otherwise using the current search tools. The fact only 10% of applicants have been successful so far maybe a reflection on the way the system is currently designed." Finally we concluded "Over all Express Entry is welcome step forward and we look forward to continuing to develop and improve overtime as the system mature."
Jobs in Canada Report
In the last few weeks we wanted to know if the slow down in China would affect employment opportunities in Canada so we asked local employers who have recruited overseas skills in the past and looking to secure skills from overseas again.
We found overall Canada is still positive in it’s outlook and states it has limited exposure to China however, their oil sector and commodities sectors are preparing for a period of slower growth. However, this is not expected to affect the wider economy and the GDP outlook remains bright.
